COVID-19\Corona Virus Mendon Pediatrics office procedure update

As we at Mendon Pediatrics continue to prioritize the health and safety of our patients and staff, changes to our scheduling and procedures will be implemented effective immediately to keep our practice running in line with our overall mission.

Please note:

-No walk-in appointments or last-minute sibling add-on visits will be allowed; please contact the office to schedule an appointment.

-We ask you to limit visitors to one parent per sick/well child in our waiting room.

-Telemedicine visits will begin in the coming days which will allow us to accommodate our patient population. If you have not done so already, please take this time to sign up for our patient portal.

-All essential well patient visits will take place in the morning; this includes newborns to age 2 years. Per the Department of Health all other well visit\non critical appointments need to be scheduled for a later date. We will be reaching out to each family affected to reschedule accordingly.

-All sick visits will be scheduled in the afternoon only. Those with fever and\or respiratory symptoms will be triaged to assess and determine an appropriate plan of care. If you feel your child will be unable to wait for an afternoon appointment, our triage nurse may direct you to the ED or Urgent care.

-Scheduled recheck appointments should be cancelled unless the patient is not improved.

-We ask that you keep in mind there may be further scheduling changes based on the health and availability of our staff and restrictions set forth by the department of health.

-We anticipate increased availability of COVID-19 tests at our local hospitals in the coming weeks.

We thank you for your continued support as we work to provide you with the health care you need during this difficult time.
